Three school students were detained for robbing foreigners in Cheras

 KUALA LUMPUR: Three male students of a secondary school were detained on suspicion of being involved in a knife-wielding robbery against a foreigner in Taman Connaught, Cheras here.

 Cheras District Deputy Chief of Police, Superintendent Ridzuan Khalid said that all the suspects aged between 14 and 15 years old were believed to have robbed at 11.30 last night and were arrested at 2 this morning.

 He said the victim suffered a loss of RM500 and did not suffer any injuries.

 “The result of the review found that all the suspects had no previous criminal record and were remanded for five days until January 14. The case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement tonight.
