Three Bangladeshis died after being hit by a KTM train

KUALA LUMPUR – Three Bangladeshi nationals died after they were hit by a KTM train in Kajang last night.

Assistant Operations Director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the operations room received a call about the incident at approximately 10:52 last night.

Acting on the information, a team of members from the Kajang Fire and Rescue rushed to the scene of the incident at Taman Puncak Utama KTM Station, Kajang.

Investigation at the location found that an accident involving a Komuter train had hit three male victims who were believed to have trespassed through the railway tracks.

“Further inspection by the members found that all the victims were male foreigners,” he said in a statement this morning.

The three victims were not stuck on he Komuter train but it is suspected that they were hit before being thrown on the side of the train.

“All the victims aged around 30 to 40 years have been confirmed dead by medical officers who rushed to the scene of the incident,” he said.

The victim’s bodies were handed over to the police.

In the meantime, Police from the Kajang District Police Headquarters have confirmed the incident and are expected to issue a media statement with more details about the incident today.
