They don’t have time to wear the clothes

KUANTAN, 7 foreign women did not have time to put on their clothes when a team of enforcement officers from the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) in Pahang State raided a massage center here last night. All the women in question were half-naked massaging their customers without realizing the presence of immigration enforcement.

The Op Gegar raid which was carried out at 8.30pm led to the arrest of massage therapists aged between 28 and 44 who consisted of 6 Thai women and one Chinese woman.

All of them are believed to have committed an offense under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for not having any valid passports and Rule 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963 for breaching the conditions of the passports issued. Local customers and caretakers of the premises were also issued notices to attend the office to assist in the investigation.

In addition, the operation team with the strength of 20 officers also raided 10 other premises consisting of factories, restaurants, sewing shops and grocery stores. As a result of the raid, 11 more foreigners were arrested from Indonesia (4), Bangladesh (2), Cambodia (1), Thailand (1), Myanmar (1), Pakistan (1) and India (1).

All detainees were taken to the Kemayan Immigration Detention Depot for further investigation.

JIM Pahang will continue to intensify operations to crack down on illegal immigrants (PATI) in the state. Strict action without compromise will be taken against PATI and any party that protects PATI.
