More than 400 illegal immigrants were arrested

KLANG: More than 400 illegal immigrants (PATIs) were arrested in a Special Aman Operation around Port Klang Town, today.

The operation for about two hours was led by the Undercover, Gambling and Crime Division of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department.

During the raid, a handful of PATI tried to hide on the roof, but were spotted by PDRM drones.

About five lorries carrying several armed General Operations Forces groups also surrounded the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The foreigners involved were also accused of conducting prostitution activities for as little as RM50 involving women from neighboring countries.

It is understood that the foreigners involved used the back alley of the shop to carry out the sex activity.

Initial reports found that among the detained illegal aliens were Indonesian, Bangladeshi and Nepali nationals.

Residents claim, the influx of foreigners in this district has been happening for the past few years.
