Illegal foreigners from Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh in Kota Bharu

KOTA BHARU – Shopping Ops carried out by the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) Kelantan managed to arrest six illegal immigrants (PATI) on Wednesday.

All the detained illegal aliens are citizens of Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh.

The Operational Action Unit, JIM Kelantan in a statement said that all those arrested were aged between 18 and 45 years old.

“The result of the inspection found that all these PATIs do not have valid documents to stay in this country,” he said on Thursday.

According to the statement, all of them were taken to Tanah Merah Immigration Depot for further action.

He said, the PATI was arrested in accordance with Section 6 (1) (C) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

“During the operation, a total of 11 foreigners consisting of Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh were checked,” he said.
