Hundreds of foreigners accused of being duped by employment agents are mass walking in Kota Tinggi

Kota Tinggi: Hundreds of foreigners who walked en masse in one area of the district to spark public riots, police arrested.

A video of hundreds of foreigners walking in groups has gone viral on social media since last night and has raised concern for the community.

Kota Tinggi District Police Chief, Superintendent Hussin Zamora said the incident of hundreds of foreigners walking in groups happened last Wednesday.

According to him, following up the police report was made by the Armed Forces of Malaysia (ATM), a police team was sent to the incident location for further investigation.

†“Yes, that video that went viral was a recent incident last week. They are understood to be heading to the Bayu Damai Police Station to make a police report following being cheated by an employment agent who did not provide jobs.

“The incident happened last Wednesday morning when hundreds of Bangladeshis were spotted walking in the area in front of the intersection, Bayu Damai Bayu,” he said in a statement, today.

He said, the police report was made ATM on the day of the incident and following that a police team was sent to conduct further inspection and action.

“As a result of an investigation by the Immigration Department (JIM) as many as 171 Bangladeshi men aged between 19 to 43 years were detained for further investigation under Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63,” he said.

In that one-minute 33-second viral video, a passenger driving the car was shocked by the presence of hundreds of foreigners walking in a long line.

It causes public concern following the presence of too many foreigners.

In that, Hussin said, all arrested foreigners related were sent to the Setia Tropika Immigration Department, Johor Bahru for further investigation.
