Foreigners are involved in prostitution activities

‘They are really rude, even more so if they gather like a crowd on the weekend. Even locals are looked upon as immigrants.” It was one of the expressions of some residents around Port Klang Town, here, following the influx of foreigners in this area over the past few years.

The foreigners were also accused of conducting prostitution activities for as little as RM50 using women from neighboring countries.

It is understood that the foreigners use the back alleys of the shop to carry out the sex activity.

Idrus Mohd Hanifah, 51, who has lived in the area for more than three decades also described foreigners in the area as big-headed and rude.

“They don’t respect local people. They are always drunk and do stupid things,” Hanifah said.

Some local residents who were found at the location of the raid praised and supported the action of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). Locals support raiding the city which was filled with foreigners earlier.

Based on preliminary information, more than 400 illegal immigrants were detained in the operation for about two hours earlier.

There were a few immigrants who tried to hide on the roof but were successfully detected by PDRM drones.

Hundreds of foreigners were detained for questioning in an operation known to the Black Sharing, Gambling and Crime Division (D7) of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) here at 1.30 this afternoon.

Around five trucks carrying several groups of armed General Operation Forces (PGA) surrounded the area to prevent any unwanted incident.

An initial report found that among the foreigners arrested were Indonesians, Bangladeshis and Nepalese.
