171 foreigners arrested by RAMD for illegally entering Malaysia

JOHOR, 20 December 2023 – The 23rd Battalion of the Royal Malay Military Regiment (RAMD) has successfully made a dry arrest of 171 male Bangladeshi Citizens (WNB) in the vicinity of Teluk Ramunia, Kota Tinggi, Johor in an operational maneuver in the area of ​​responsibility of the 3 Division.

 On 20 Dec 23 at 3.50pm, the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) team of 23 RAMD led by an Officer with 7 members of Other Ranks (LLP) carried out a vehicle patrol around Teluk Ramunia and successfully arrested 171 PATIs who did not have documents  valid and expired travel.

 A police report was made at the Bayu Damai Police Station and the 171 PATIs were handed over to the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM), Setia Tropika, Johor Bahru on the same day.  The total amount of the seizure was RM 126,457.00.

 This success is in line with PTD’s 30th Prime Ministerial Order which aspires to three main objectives which are “Readiness, Organizational Sustainability and Leadership Personality” which is strengthened through focused, planned and comprehensive collaboration through the 3M Synergy Concept.

 The constant patrolling and supervision from the 23 RAMD team proves the ‘Knight’s Pledge’ that is engraved in the Commanding Officer and every officer and member of this team is fully practiced when carrying out the tasks assigned to them.
